Our last day in Fontainebleau was one of our best days in Fontainebleau. We started at Bas Cuvier. Earlier in the week we had wandered around this area, looking for some of the iconic lines we had seen online, but the damp weather meant we left this crag for another day. The first line we tried was Hier Encore, a snatchy dyno right at the front of the crag. We all came close but it was so easy to burn out trying the single move. From one dyno to the next, I managed to quickly send Pif Paf and then spent twice as long trying to figure out how to get down as it has taken to figure out how to get up. The weather was gorgeous on this day and because we started to bake at the open Bas Cuvier area, we hopped in the van and travelled back to an old nemesis, Yoga. This problem had been wet earlier in the week, and we were itching to try it now that the sun had dried out the rock. Several hours later, several beers later and many attempts later, I managed to send this on my ‘last go, best go’ and James couldn’t have come much closer.
