What’s a fun dippable snack that’s also a party game? Betty Crocker’s answer: Appetizer Fondue Dippers.
This recipe card has two ideas for appetizer dippers — Savory Surprises and Swiss Cheese Appetizers. The Swiss Cheese Appetizers are half circle pastries filled with the classic combo of swiss cheese and mushrooms — which pair perfectly with the swiss cheese in the fondue. In the Savory Surprises are hidden bits of meat and cheese — anchovies, olives, salami and cream cheese, you never know which you’ll get once you dip!
Both of these recipes take a shortcut using Betty’s pie crust dough mix, which results in a very flaky and crumbly final dipper. Per Betty’s recommendation, we dip both these appetizer treats into a classic beer cheese fondue.
