If you’re reading this before the video premiere, I’d first like to apologise for the lateness of this upload. My original release date predictions (those being initially Christmas day, then before 2024, then within the first week of 2024) were based on my progress speed while working before Christmas. Since Christmas passed, I have experienced a severe hit to my motivation, which I was initially confident I could push through. However, the harder I worked myself, I pushed myself further into a serious artistic burnout, which impacted both the project and my mental state at the time.

When I released the trailer, my original intentions were to spend Christmas eve and day with my family and friends, before immediately picking back up work on the 26th, leaving me only two break days over the month of work I had already put into the project. As you can certainly tell by now, I ended up needing a fair amount more than those two days, and by the time I resumed work it was already the next year. After a while I realised that since the video was already late, it wasn’t going to be worth rushing it out, and I wanted to take some extra time to make sure the final product was of the quality you should expect from me. Now finally, after weeks of work, the video is here! And it’s already far too late to be remotely relevant!

Maybe just remember to come back next year…

Following this video’s production, I’ve learned an important lesson about self-expectations and, more importantly, work deadlines. Going forward, I will be better for my viewers (and I will release my videos when I promise them!)

FNAF: The Silver Eyes - QUIPLASH Preview

BonBun Films 2024-02-28 | I don't typically upload previews for upcoming videos outside of trailers, but this video has been left unfinished for a while. Originally planned for Halloween, it was repeatedly pushed back as I hopped onto higher priority projects. I uploaded this preview to Twitter a few months ago, but never to YouTube. A new upload never hurt anyone :) and helps me to stay at least a little relevant.

Note that like some of my other videos, this isn't actually rendered in 4K resolution, only exported as such to trick YouTube's compression. Since the shots flash quite quickly in this video, things get very blocky very fast.

If this video never gets finished, I'd like to have what I worked on here for you all to see anyway. Wouldn't want it to waste away in my files forever. That being said, I really want to get back to this when I get the time!

[SFM FNAF] BONBUN FILMS CANCELLED COLLECTION

BonBun Films 2023-05-10 | Hello everybody! Tomorrow marks the 9th anniversary of the creation of this channel! As such, I have created a great big compilation video for you all to enjoy! As this video is set to premiere, I gather there'll be quite a few people waiting who go to read the description.

This video is a compilation of all of my old discontinued projects, some from 2017, some as recent as 2020. As most of you know, my FNaF AU was cancelled definitively in 2021, as I left Source Filmmaker behind as a whole (until I finished Below the Surface). As such, anything I was working on was left unfinished entirely. Since then, there's been a great big folder of render files that have been completely unseen for 3 or more years, until today!

I couldn't find time in the video to fully explain the context for some of these videos, as the main intention is to showcase them in their entirety (some of which have been given the treatment of fancy new colour grading courtesy of DaVinci Resolve). [SFM FNAF] Below the Surface - FNaF Sister Location Song by Griffinilla

BonBun Films 2022-08-20 | In the new age of FNaF music videos where everyone has either migrated softwares or are creating fast-paced masterpieces with intricate scenebuilds, here's one small humble SFM animation like it's 2016 once again.

This video has been waiting to be finished for over a year now, as I started a while before work on HE ALWAYS DOES. If any parts of the video appear lower quality, that's most likely why. It's not the greatest video, I see that in comparison to my current work a year later, although I see no harm in uploading anyways as I have been slow on the uploads as of late.

The reason I didn't work on this video for so long is because I have moved to Blender for animation now, as some of you may know. Despite this, however, I have decided to pick up SFM one last time to finish what I started. And hey! It's my first full Sister Location music video, so that's neat.

Consider this my personal farewell to Source Filmmaker.

REVISION Collab Part for LunaticHugo

BonBun Films 2022-08-03 | If you know anything about me you know I'm not typically the one to join collabs or indulge in the rest of the FNaF animation community at all, but @LunaticHugo directly asked me if I could provide the part for Stay Calm in his REVISION collab and I thought I'd do it. This also serves as an anniversary special I suppose, happy 8th birthday Freddy Fazbear!

The scenes in this video reference shots from the Stay Calm 2018 remake. It was a pleasure to finally destroy them.

STAY CALM 2021 - Five Nights at Freddys Animated Music Video

BonBun Films 2022-01-22 | Since this video is going to upload as a premiere, I figure a lot of people will be reading this before the video starts, which is great because I have a lot to address.

Of course first thing to note is the title. This video is labelled Stay Calm 2021, as it is a reflection of my progress throughout 2021, it is not named based on the year it releases. Also going from 2020 to 2022 in the Stay Calm series would just be weird.

Secondly, the upload date. Yes, I know, it's late. An entire month late, almost. This is credit to a variety of factors, mainly due to the use of Blender as opposed to SFM, which I utilised for the first 5 animations in the series. One thing especially to note is the render time, which added up approximately to just over three days, already exceeding the time limit for the original plan in render time alone. Being more free to add what I wanted and creatively adapt to the workflow of Blender did allow for more creative and ambitious shots, it also consumed more time although I believe I made a good choice in releasing a better video later.

Can I guarantee there will be more Stay Calms after this one? Being made in Blender, this video certainly marks the end of an era, to say the least. SFM was what allowed the absurd tradition to stay faithful to the original rules for the last 5 years, and now I've been able to create something much more visually appealing at the cost of breaking the tradition rules. I do have plans in mind for potential future Stay Calms, although I cannot guarantee I will have the time nor motivation to see them through to the end. What I'm saying is don't expect anything, but don't expect nothing either!

To reiterate what I say every year, these Stay Calms serve as a personal challenge to practice and learn the tools at my disposal as an artist. I understand some may not appreciate the time I sink into these videos, being particularly "unoriginal" and "repetitive", I do believe that the Stay Calms serve as an accurate reflection of my progress as an artist and it's always interesting to me to see how I've grown. If you don't like them, don't watch them, it's as simple as that.

Lastly, I'd like to share with everyone watching (and waiting) the official Jeff Burgess cover of the original song. Jeff Burgess is the singer of the original Stay Calm (playing the role of both the night guard and Foxy) who has created a cover of the original song with new vocals and instrumental in February last year. I'm happy to present my first full Blender animation (since 2015). Working with Blender for animation is a lot easier than I anticipated, being able to create and add models on a whim when needed is most definitely a step up from Source Filmmaker. Aside from finishing older projects that have been started in SFM, I can see myself using solely Blender from this point onwards. It's something I'm very acquainted with due to modelling in it for years, and creating environments and scene building is something that my previous SFM videos lacked greatly, so this is something I definitely could learn. Working with curves and volumetrics was an interesting experience creating this video, being two things I had never really explored in-depth in Blender.
Apologies for the recent silence, as some of you know I've been working on my game recently (link in community tab). This will most likely be my last video for a while considering I'm sinking all time and resources into that.

[SFM FNAF] STAY CALM - FNaF Song by Griffinilla (2020 REMAKE)

BonBun Films 2020-12-28 | Going back to basics with the original song in this edition. Apologies that the video is later than promised, there were some issues with render times being longer than expected. Nonetheless, I present the fifth annual iteration of Griffinilla's "Stay Calm"!

I'd like to remind viewers that the Stay Calm remakes serve as challenges to myself, not videos for once I'm out of ideas or for monetary gain (Griffinilla often gets the ad revenue.). Each one is produced in a total of 3 days every 25th-27th December, and don't take up my time over the more ambitious projects I have planned for the coming year. [SFM FNAF] STAY CALM - Shadrow Cover of the FNaF Song by Griffinilla (2019 REMAKE)

BonBun Films 2019-12-28 | Same day every year, the three-day remake challenge tradition continues once again with my newest SFM animation, 2019's Stay Calm! I felt there wasn't much I could have added to make this a more enjoyable experience than the last remake, so this time I've used the Shadrow Cover of the original song.

I'd like to remind viewers that the Stay Calm remakes serve as challenges to myself, not videos for once I'm out of ideas or for monetary gain (Griffinilla often gets the ad revenue.). Each one is produced in a total of 3 days every 25th-27th December, and don't take up my time over the more ambitious projects I have planned for the coming year. I find there's fun to be had in each new incarnation, and I hope that viewers can also enjoy each new iteration.
