This was such an appropriate time for LOAD to prompt us about something (or someone?) we pursued.....Tomorrow is the 43rd anniversary of our first date and yes, I asked him. It was the beginning of nearly 40 years of working together, traveling together and seeking palm trees, sunshine, butterflies and boat drinks together. I've used lots of Vicki Boutin goodies from several collections, a few Bramble Fox Perspextives and leaves and bubbles from table mates at the Crafty Beach Bash. The photo was taken at a restaurant in Trier that served what would be our all-time favorite wine, available only from them (hence a few more drives down when we were living in Brussels!) I'm absolutely shattered that he's not here to wander the highways and byways with but eternally grateful for the 40 years we did have (and that I asked him out that Friday, May 8, 1981).
