In this test/tutorial we will look at the recording quality of an entry-level USB audio interface from Focusrite.
First, I will connect a dynamic microphone to the mic input, the Shure SM58, then we compare that to an AKG microphone with a supercardioid pickup pattern, and a budget condenser mic from Tonor which uses the 48V phantom power.
After listening to the sound test you will have an idea of how these three types of microphones sound when using the Scarlett Solo 2nd gen interface.
Finally, I will briefly summarize the benefits of this compact USB audio interface.
