In Volume 2 of Focus On Norfolk Southern Green Frog spent a considerable amount of time recording trains in the Historic District of Austell, Georgia.
We’ll catch a mixed freight in Austell with 2 mid-train helpers and 9 locomotives at the head end. See a side by side race between a BNSF & NS train going east through Austell. We’ll see Double Stacks, Auto Trains, Through Freights and Mixed Freights as well.
Next we’ll head west toward Rockmart on a beautiful Spring day and see a couple runbys of NS trains through the rolling hills of West Georgia. We’ll pace a KCS train through Douglasville and then it’s on to Villa Rica to record train action, we caught a special Inspection train called “The Brick”.
