This is a showcase of newly-revealed sprite updates for Parasite Red Mungus, and official gameplay of this new sprite in Turbulence for the upcoming VS Impostor: Legacy mod. This new sprite differentiates itself from the original & the hotfix sprite by keeping the hotfix sprites' rounded-ness while keeping the original sprite's proportions (and there's also a new render to match this new sprite in Freeplay!). And I love the new touches in the playable, like the new air-balloons in the background, the more scenic-looking sky & moon, the sky gradually turning darker throughout the song, and Red Mungus starting to slow down before flying (or falling) away at the end of the song.
This footage was screen-recorded by @Povrenix from Clowfoe's discord server, where the devs were showcasing the new content & were commenting on the changes. The footage shown here is still a work-in-progress, but gives us an early look at what the many sprite improvements, animation updates and quality-of-life features will offer players when the mod officially releases.

Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io. The plot of the game centres around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes? Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. The game is also open source to allow users to mod or simply look through its assets.
