VS Impostor: Legacy's v1.1.0 has released, coming with a plethora of changes, additions and bugfixes to the mod. One of the new additions to the mod is the brand-new song remaster of Blackout; after years of being stuck on a mid version of the song, Legacy has finally brought us the intended version to be heard!

Let me explain: Blackout V3, released a few months before Impostor V4 dropped was the intended version that Cval wanted to be shipped in the mod, with nice Grey vocals & an intense instrumental, but Clowfoe accidentally packaged Blackout V2 inside the finished mod instead, where the song has muddy & scratchy Grey vocals were too loud & took away from the amazing instrumental...

But luckily, Blackout Legacy fixes all that! The song gives Grey back his sharp vocals without being as scratchy or loud as V2 was, and the instrumental has been amped up to 11 with new guitar uses in the intense sections of the song; it gives off the feeling of hopelessness BF faces while having a shred of hope to live to give himself determination - overall, this song has finally been given the treatment it deserved ever since it's first iteration back in 2022 (it only took them 3 years lol). Also, playing as Grey instead of BF is genuinely (for the most part) so much more fun as the chart has lots of doubles places in really good places that are satisfying to hit lol.

And finally, for added flare, I included the fanmade restoration animation for this Blackout where the dead bodies in the background & foreground would rise up (I love Red's annoyed expression while crossing his arms lol), while Grey would have a mental breakdown where he would regain memories of his late father, Noob49. This gives the song, and Grey's character, so much more depth as it reminds us that Grey isn't just a crazy psychopath, that he's been turned that way by Black's influence after the melancholy of losing his father; it's deep - and I'm all for it!

All-in-all, Blackout got all-types of glowups, and this video is a worthy successor of my old Blackout video from 2023, which was originally my most popular VS Impostor video! Good old days.

📜 ABOUT FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN' (Algorithm Bender):

Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io. The plot of the game centres around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes? Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. The game is also open source to allow users to mod or simply look through its assets.
