#AlaskaFlying in the DHC-2 Beaver through Prince William Sound, the site of the 1989 Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, to learn that the 2011 tsunami in Japan along with general pollution is now causing hundreds of miles of pristine coastal beaches to become an inadvertent dumping ground and collection point for tons of primarily plastic debris. Our oceans, rivers, and beaches are becoming filled with plastic and trash.
As part of the #TeamSeas initiative, the goal is to raise $30M to remove 30M pounds of plastic and trash from oceans, rivers and waterways. See more below and how you can donate and become a part of this amazing effort.
For every $1 raised, #TeamSeas nonprofit partners #TheOceanCleanUp and Ocean Conservancy will clean up 1 pound of trash from our oceans, rivers, and beaches!

Martin and Tim from APEX Alaska were awesome for setting everything up to do this!
It’s not launched yet, but when it is they’ll have you covered end to end with amazing lakeside accommodations for summer and winter training at the Alaska Aviation Adventure HQ.
Pilots would come and join APEX to “expand” their flying skills, get to see aviation from a different angle while experiencing flying in Alaska.

FLIGHT CHOPS DISCLAIMER:
I am a "weekend warrior" private pilot, I fly for fun with no intentions of going commercial. I have had my PPL for over 15 years, but still consider each flight a learning experience - I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve.... Having GoPro cameras to record flights like this is invaluable. I find these self analysis videos very helpful in my constant quest to improve, and am happy to share. Feedback is invited; however, please keep it positive.
