In this episode of Flying Failures, we're taking a look at what was meant to be the Soviet Union's revolutionary supersonic nuclear bomber, the Tupolev Tu-22, a machine that could have been a fearsome competitor to the likes of the Avro Vulcan, but instead proved to be a misguided, ill-conceived aircraft that demonstrated the various limitations of the Soviet aircraft building industry, and was relegated to the role of recon duties due to its various problems.
