Ok so here are the list of general rules for Fluff To Stuff 2021
Rules for the Fluff (Spinning):
1.You must be a member of the Rav group (if you can access Rav)
2.The idea is that you spin yarn for a project you want to make, so trying to spin intentionally – this can be for any type of project there is no requirement for size or quantity of fibre you have to spin
3.You can use a wheel or spindle or any other method to spin yarn you wish
4.There is no minimum amount you need to spin as this is meant to be whatever constitutes a challenge for you
5.You can spin for any kind of project (knitting/crochet/weaving/etc)
6.Works in progress are allowed – use your own discretion here
Rules for the STUFF (Making):
1.You must be a member of the Rav group (if you can access Rav)
2.The idea is that you make a project from the yarn you spun in the spinning segment
3.You must use handspun for the project you make, if you are not a spinner you can use handspun that you purchased, or was gifted to you.
4.Again there is no requirement for a minimum amount that you need to use to qualify for entry
5.There is also no minimum project size you need to make to qualify for entry
PRIZES:
This event is meant to be a supportive place where we can help encourage each other along the way, however, we will be having prizes along the way (at the moment the idea is to draw for prizes approx every 3 months.
We will post and announce more details about prizes as and when we confirm what they will be.
MONTHLY ZOOM EVENTS
Our Fluff to Stuff 2021 monthly Zoom meetings are open to participants in this year-long event, with a meeting scheduled for either the last Saturday or Sunday of each month. We have invited Fibre Artists and crafters from our community to join our monthly meetings as featured Makers. You will be able to hear about their fibre journey and their story as well as getting to enjoy some Q&A time with them during the meeting. In 2021, many of our special guests identify as either a Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Colour (BIPOC), and we are happy to highlight their work in this space.
Tickets are $4.00 USD per event (the money generated from ticket sales will be used to pay for the postage of prizes at the end of the Fluff to Stuff Event, and other administration costs).
Ticket purchase links will be posted on Ravelry monthly, and will be shared by the moderators via Instagram.
