When I was younger we were always told to be careful about having magnets near floppy disks. I wondered how much of problem that actually was, so in this video I put it to a test. I test different magnets with different strengths, including the magnets in an iPhone, to see which have the capability to damage the data on a disk.
One thing that slightly bothers me about the results is i was unable to reproduce the iPhone results when showing it to someone. I don't know if it was the way i was moving the disk or the speed or maybe the data was just weaker somehow but still a little annoying - good job i caught it doing it on camera!
