#FloodPrevention We're Building Berms From Old Tires!



We are continuing to find ways to protect our #homestead from any future flooding. This time we are building berms out of old tires. This idea came from #earthship construction techniques. We contacted our local tire shop, and they were only too happy to deliver several hundred old tires right to our property.

Using these tires as a foundation for our flood prevention berms and swales, we will bury them in sand.
