It's Flight Sim Sunday, and today we're heading north to the wilds of Alaska for an adventure aboard the Black Square Turbine Duke.
Starting at Prudhoe Bay on Alaska's Arctic coast, we'll head south into increasingly dramatic terrain, stopping at Anaktuvuk Pass before continuing deep into the wilderness toward Arctic Village.
Alaska is the perfect place to put both the aircraft and MSFS 2024's weather environment through their paces. Today we'll be checking out Strata alongside REX Atmos Core, exploring how they can enhance the atmosphere, clouds, weather and overall visual experience of flying through one of the most remote regions on Earth.
With mountains, tundra, unpredictable weather and isolated airfields along the way, this is exactly the kind of environment where the powerful Turbine Duke comes alive.

About the Flight – Into the Alaskan Wilderness
Today's route takes us from Alaska's Arctic coastline into one of the most remote and spectacular landscapes in North America:
PASC (Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay) – Our starting point on Alaska's North Slope, surrounded by vast Arctic tundra close to the Beaufort Sea.
PAKP (Anaktuvuk Pass) – A remote community nestled within the Brooks Range, surrounded by mountains and providing a dramatic change from the flat terrain of the North Slope.
PARC (Arctic Village) – A remote settlement in northeastern Alaska and a fitting destination for today's wilderness adventure.
Black Square Turbine Duke – Fast, powerful and packed with systems depth, the Turbine Duke gives us the performance needed to cross this enormous and unforgiving landscape.
Strata & REX Atmos Core – We'll explore how these add-ons change the look and feel of MSFS 2024, particularly in an environment where clouds, visibility, lighting and changing weather can completely transform a flight.
