Nothing ventured, nothing gained they say. I think the best time to catch this is right after it comes off the lift at the lumber store, before it has a chance to pick up moisture and warp. The one I used was actually in the back of my van since early March, so I'm sure that didn't help.

Of course, some warpage is unavoidable, but I do believe sanding the rough side smooth would make a big difference.
Also, since the good side of this plywood has been sanded, the veneer is substantially thinner than the veneer layer on the back, which would add to this problem slightly.

$Why My DIY Speakers Sound Bad / Measuring With REW and UMIK-1 What I mean when I say there will be no major builds on this channel is that Ill be posting those on my main channel, where I do full project build videos. When I build a new set of speakers, that full build video will be on my main channel. On here, I want to concentrate more on the technical, much like I do in this video. So Ill be going through details that wont be in a build video, or prototyping and testing. Like I said at the beginning of this video, Im not an expert but I do have a fairly solid background in designing and building speakers. I was heavy into this for several years more than 10 years ago and have forgotten a lot of what I learned at that time. Ill be working to get that back and learn more, but I will make mistakes along the way. So keep that in mind when you watch. Regarding the tweeters in these speakers, that peaking is likely from a combination of the tweeter quality, poor crossover design and some diffraction. However Ive found a replacement pair that are a better match for the woofer, and Ill be installing those with a newly designed crossover in an upcoming video.
