Most of the time when we glue timbers together for the sake of making cutting boards or merely creating that laminated effect the board may still have somewhat of a high spot.
Given that if you've used the correct clamping procedure producing a flat face should not be to difficult so if you don't own a Jointer or have flattening jigs you may wish to choose doing this task with a Plane or as I do a belt sander.
