🚨New RedTool Woodshop YouTube Video 🚨
Looking for the ideal garage workshop setup for the Slab Flattening Mill∙PRO? Look no further. In this 6-minute video, Jay Mowder shares a few crucial setup tips to help you get the most out of your Slab Flattener. He walks you through the process of flattening a live-edge slab, as well as six end-grain cutting boards at once! If the Slab Flattening Mill∙PRO is on your list of tools to buy, or if you already own one...you don’t want to miss this insightful video!
Woodpeckers Slab Flattening Mill PRO guides your router over your slab in a controlled plane. Since you’re using a router instead of a planer-style cutterhead, tear-out is minimal… and thanks to our uniquely engineered rails and enhanced solid steel carriage, the surface will only need a light sanding afterwards.
The router carriage adjust in height by a full 2-1/2”. Depending on your router bit, you can work on stock just a fraction of an inch thick or up to 3-3/8” without ever shimming either the rails or slab.
With the Basic Slab Flattening Mill Pro, you can mill a slab up to 58” long! The Extended version adds a second set of rails, extending the maximum slab length to 134” 👍🏼
