In this video, I install two more cupholder rod holder combos. I wanted to get two additional rods off the bow when fishing, the flats with chunk bait, and this solution matches what is existing on the boat. These cupholders are pretty amazing. The ones that are currently on the boat are at least 10 years old. Fortunately, they are still made and I was able to pick up two more at West Marine in Fort Lauderdale. They are very high-quality and nearly flushmounted. Walking on them is not even noticeable. I will say you should be cautious of water bottles because they will create a trip hazard.
Anyway, in this video, I will show you how I was able to figure out where to put them so the downtube cleared the angle of the bow hull. my objective was to cover an existing hole from a screw that held a plate in place for the trolling motor foot to sit. Additionally, I wanted to get them out as far to the edge as I could.
