Join the Tillotson Cousins as we embark on our first-ever ride in Colorado. Completing the Marvine Loop Trail (with an extension to Wall Lake) in an epic ~32-mile journey through the Flat Top Wilderness! This adventure was packed with stunning landscapes, high-altitude camps, and unpredictable weather... that was supposed to stay in Wyoming.
Our Route:
Marvine Campground — Marvine Lakes — Wall Lake — East Marvine Trail
🏕 Day 1: Starting from the Marvine Lake Campground, we rode up to Marvine Lakes for our first camp. We were skunked on the fishing but later learned we needed to be in deeper water.
🏔 Day 2: We ascended to the “Flat Top” of the Flat Top Wilderness and continued past the East Marvine turnoff to camp by Wall Lake, sitting just over 11,000 feet. Clouds ripped by all day bringing rain on and off.
🌲 Day 3: We doubled back to rejoin the Marvine loop and made our way down the East Marvine Trail, finishing our ride back at the trailer.
It was a memorable experience having David and Brandon join us for their first multi-day Haven Adventure ride. Our Haven Tents were put to the test on night two and we learned the value of good cover.
