Even technology gives it away...
First wireless broadcast was achieved in 1915 from Arlington,Virginia USA to Paris, France Europe.
The distance between these two points is (approx 3900 miles) there should be (approx) 1,920 miles of curvature. Given that radio waves only travel in a straight line and that there were no relay stations (as this was the first transmission) how did the broadcast reach it's destination...The short answer is the radio waves did not have any curvature to contend with!
