Flat Earthers like to use Crepuscular rays as evidence that the earth is flat. After recent calculations of the distance between the sun an the earth in a flat earth model, I had some doubts about whether crepuscular rays are actually evidence of the sun being close to the earth as Flat Earthers suggest. I build a model to describe crepuscular rays on a flat earth model and find that crepuscular rays are actually evidence of nothing. Even in the flat earth model, crepuscular rays are a consequence of perspective and not the closeness of the sun.
I take the value for the distance to the sun from other calculations i did in this video: youtu.be/OFN2U0XLclA
