Many are adamant that the flat is the most important calibration frame you will take. I personally do not take them that often. I must be spoiled by the Olympus Dust removal system. They are a time sensitive thing and you should be doing them at least once ever three months depending on how dirty your place is. In the video I try to demystify a lot of the rumors and clarify exactly what is accomplished by flat frames. Astrophotography is tuff stuff but doing it right makes it easy.
