Background info:
Nova was a cat from another planet. In some way or another, she pissed off her planets ruler and disobeyed the law and their trust. With this, the punishment for those crimes was ‘removal of the wings’ (something every Cat Alien cherishes). After she had her wings ripped off and taken away from her, she was banished from the planet and thrown out of their world, literally.
