I can't believe I finished this in just over a week :0
I know there's that one scene where the fire doesn't move but it was the very last background I did (because I do them out of order because I'm weird XD) and I just lost the last bit of motivation but hey it's done :D
I managed to stay motivated enough to shade the whole thing, what is happening to me???
Basically what's happening here is Inferno is trying to attack Frost, but Emerald jumps in and knocks him away with her wings. Frost would never be able to fight Inferno for fear of harming Flame but Emerald is there to make sure that he can't hurt her either :3
If you want to see something funny, try pausing on the scene where Emerald jumps in front of Frost.

Omg its finally done, I started this in April ;0;
I have never worked on such a long project before, but Im so proud of it!
Ive been super motivated for the last week and a half and finished the last minute in that short time.
All of my editing practice has led up to this. Im so glad I decided to wait to make this, rather than start straight away when I first got my editing program; the editing would have been SO bad.
Hey Emerald, how many frames are there?? An excellent question! The truth is Im not sure. The original sketch had about 380 something but as most of them have multiple parts of the character moving, theres somewhere around 1,200....
Also just to be clear: the swishy magic isnt frame by frame animation, its me using an effect called wave
I know Ive missed out some scenes and I think a few may be out of order from how they were in the book, but I just used what I felt fitted the song best. And WOW does the song fit these guys so well.
I tried to give all the Seawings different patterns. I know it wasnt mentioned whether Indigo wore armor when she became a guard, but I actually really like the design in the graphic novel for the Seawing armor (although the design was probably different 2000 years ago)
I apologise if the backgrounds are a bit of a let down, I dont usually have a lot of motivation to make them. Im a bit rusty at lipsyncing. Theres also a few editing/continuity errors, but just pretend those arent there XD

Queen Battlewinner rising dramatically out of her hottub to greet her subjects who scream in terror.
Eeek a colour pallet map, which I usually dont do. Im really proud of this though! I just hope it looks Ok to the host because I dont think Im motivated enough to redo it XD
Im quite proud of the designs ^^
For this map you had to use the colours shown in the part you chose and then create a funky design for the characters, while including the right colours for shading.
Also that bright blue colour is the highlight colour, not just a random design floating around their scales. I know its often in the wrong place considering the main light source is below her, but the highlight is supposed to be a solid colour, so most of her would have just been that blue if I did it right XD
While I like the shading on the cauldron, I just couldnt get the shape to look right when it moved and that kind of lets it down a bit. Also the proportions are off.
Other than that I really like it though ^^
The purple lava looks kind of nice, especially when it drips off her talons.
Theres no spoiler warning in the video or an outro because the host didnt want any cutoffs.
