Physical exams, blood samples, anthelminic treatments and West Nile Virus vaccinations were performed on 39 flamingos at the Sacramento Zoo as part of their annual routine check ups.

This was a collaborative medical event between the Zoological Medicine Program at the Karen C. Drayer Wildlife Health Center, the Sacramento Zoo and the CAPE Service at the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.
