Flagstaff Region Featured Business Program presents: The Leaf, Hardisty
Where the Tracks Meet the Table: The Story of The Leaf in Hardisty
Welcome to The Leaf, a 120-year-old train station turned legendary local pub in the heart of Hardisty, Alberta. As part of the Flagstaff Region Featured Business Program, we’re proud to spotlight this community icon where history, heart, and Alberta beef come together.
From birthday dinners and oilfield lunches to first dates and final farewells, The Leaf has been the backdrop for countless moments that matter. It’s not just about great food, it’s about belonging.
Owner Clayton Hinkey saw the potential in a forgotten building and, with the help of family, staff, and an entire town, created something truly special. Alberta beef only. Cold beer always. A menu made for the everyday regular, and a family side that stayed open because everyone deserves a seat at the table.
This is more than a story about food, it’s about community, connection, and a legacy worth preserving.
