In this video, I share 3 ways to de-ess and remove harshness from vocals in FL Studio.
It's a simple and quick technique to make your vocals sound a lot more professional and smooth by reducing the harshness on certain syllables
0:00 - Intro
Method 1 - 1:00 - Maximus multi-band compression
Method 2 - 4:45 - Manually remove the frequency using the Edison plugin
Method 3 - 7:45 - Set up a dynamic EQ to listen for the harsh, sibilant sounds and reduce them.

Plugins - Maximus (FL Stock), The Edison (FL Stock) and TDR NOVA (Free plugin)
Get NOVA free here: tokyodawn.net/tdr-nova

As with any method, let your ears guide you and listen with the whole mix on both headphones and speakers. Your ears will often become used to the harsh, sibilant sounds overtime and naturally block them out so do remember to take breaks.
