In this video we'll have a look at the performance difference in FL 20.0.4 vs older versions of FL Studio. This latest update to FL Studio offers improved cpu performance over earlier versions.
In earlier versions of FL Studio any form of routing in the mixer, like submixes etc caused performance loss. This was finally fixed in FL Studio 20.0.4.
In this video we'll run 3 different projects side by side in FL 12.5.1 and FL20.0.4:
Test 1: Light project
Test 2: Medium project
Test 3: Heavy project
All testing was done with FL Studio 64 bit versions and the exact same system and settings:
Intel I7 5820k @4,5 ghz.
16 GB DDR4 RAM
FL STUDIO ASIO Driver
1024 smp
Tripple buffer: ON
Mix in buffer switch: ON
We'll see how the performance difference is between the different versions and projects.
