The logistic function has that nasty asymptote problem, which makes it impossible to use for animation. I show how to fix it, using Desmos for my visualizations.

Here's the final, simplified function in Latex: \frac{y_{max}e^{kx_{center}}\left(e^{kx}-1\right)}{\left(e^{kx_{center}}-1\right)\left(e^{kx}+e^{kx_{center}}\right)}
