Michael Picher - Composer | Fixing "Muddy" Staccato Strings @MichaelPicherMusic | Uploaded April 2017 | Updated October 2024, 1 minute ago.
Just a quick tip for anyone who didn't already know this trick.
I combine sounds from both Project SAM's "Orchestral Essentials I" and Versillian Studio's VSCO: Community Edition in order to get both a full and clean sound for my staccato string parts. This track works for other instruments as well. I also like to combine the arco string sounds from both libraries, since VSCO has a harder attack.
