If you can successfully perform the manual troubleshooting methods I show here, you can quickly fix any update errors that may occur on your Windows 10 computer or any other windows version, even on windows 11.
Lets start the first process. Open-up your command prompt window in administrative mode and type following commands.
In the elevated Command Prompt, we’re going to stop the BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer and Windows Update services one by one. TO do this, type (or paste) the commands below into Command prompt and press Enter after each one:
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Before you enter the next command line, you should stop the related service from service.msc. Because it may not work properly in command-Line if you try to disable directly without stopped from services.msc.
Now type to rename cat root 2 folder.
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
After that, enable all services that you disabled above.
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
You can try the next process if update problem still exist.
Download & Install Windows Repair from this link majorgeeks.com/files/details/tweaking_com_windows_repair.html Open Windows Repair, select the Repair – Main tab and click on Open Repairs.
