From the outside, this airbag looks totally fine. Underneath? Cracked, chewed up, and one of them is completely blown , oil everywhere.
We're inspecting airbags, leveling valves, and torque arms on this RV hauler build — before we bolt on the "bed," meaning the flatbed deck structure that will carry the RV and gear on the back of this truck. Once that bed is installed, it blocks all access to these parts underneath, so if there's a problem, this is your only window to catch it. On Volvos especially, these airbags sit right on top of the fuel tank, making it even more critical to check now.
If you're building your own RV hauler, deal with airbags, shocks, and torque arms before the bed goes on. Trust us , you don't want to find these problems later.
