Fix presonus eris e5 , stopped working after a minor power fluctuation . i knew that there could be a small issue may be a fuse is gone. but the external fuse was fine. However there is internal fuse in the transformer that was the issue.
(WARNING : do this fixing at your own risk . if you are not sure then see a repair person)
STEP1: Check for cable / use multimeter if there is power coming. Check for External fuse behind the monitor if that fine.
IF THERE IS STILL NO POWER*******
OPENING BOX - When i opened box I noticed that there are no burn it was like new so i was sure there is some internal fuse which is gone.
STEP2: -- Open the box carefully. Check AC power .. if the AC power is coming OK . then use Multimeter on continuity mode for the Transformer Output. if continuity power of monitor is zero . it means there is something cut off may be a fuse.
(if you do not have a multimeter thats also ok . if you are sure there is no burn)
STEP3: open the transformer , look for fuse and you may replace or directly join it. and pack the transformer carefully with plastic tape so that there is no current leakage.
