This error commonly appears on discrete graphics cards such as NVIDIA GeForce and AMD/ATI Radeon GPUs, and can occur with error codes like:

• DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED 0x887A0002
• DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED 0x887A0005

💻 Why does this happen?

The error occurs when the graphics card fails to respond within a few seconds, causing Windows to disable it to prevent crashes. This can lead to game crashes, freezes, or black screens. It may also be triggered by driver issues, DirectX errors, improper overclocking, or corrupted settings.
