Join us downtown at Pratt St & President St to discover the history of the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture. It tells the stories of Black Marylanders from the colonial era up through today. It is home to incredible artifacts including Billie Holiday’s baby grand piano and one of Dominique Dawes’ leotards. We’ll also talk about the museum’s namesake, Baltimorean Reginald F. Lewis, and his groundbreaking role as the first African American to run a billion dollar company. Thanks for watching and see you soon with another video.
This is our series called "Five Minute Histories." Every week, we’ll record a short video about a different historic place in Baltimore and post it on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
