Join us in Mount Vernon on Park Ave inside one of the great Gilded Age mansions in Baltimore—the Knabe House. In 1831, Wilhelm (later William) Knabe immigrated from Germany and established what became one of the premier piano manufacturing companies in America. His first big commission—from Francis Scott Key—put him on the map. Thanks for watching and see you soon with another video.

This is our series called "Five Minute Histories." Every week, we’ll record a short video about a different historic place in Baltimore and post it on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
