Hey guys, I want to quickly clarify that this is my second time making my own proper instrumental for a cover. First time was Hurt, this is my second one.
This cover has been a few months in the making. I started work on it back in summer with the idea to make a music video for it, but I never actually made a music video and I wasn't very happy with how the cover turned out. Roughly two tries later and I was finally happy with it.
I decided to keep the video simple in this case. My next cover will have a high production lyric video but that's not until a later date.
I understand that this cover isn't the best. This was my first time covering a Death Punch song and I knew I wouldn't be able to do Ivan Moody justice. I'm not too great at singing, or screaming for that matter, which is why I chose a softer one. However I actually have a personal reason for making this cover.
Ever since last school year ended, I've been going through a lot. I'll have a separate vlog I'll be uploading after this explaining it but to make a long story short: I've just been going through a lot of bullshit and I've turned numb to the world at this point. Even though I have made it out of the majority of what I was going through, the world has gone cold to me at this point. Nothing feels quite the same anymore. I'm always depressed. And I thought that it would fit the general theme of this song. Along with wanting to cover this since it's just that good of a song, I just needed to get how I feel out there. Venting, if you will.
You don't have to like this cover. But please at least appreciate it for what it is.
