Use it to set up around your camp site. You can use eye screws to run your line along and around obstacles. The most important thing is to make sure your line is not obstructed and is being pulled in a smooth motion. You don't have to put the whole tip of the trigger pin in, if you want a sensitive set up, then only put in the very tip of the trigger pin.

When the pin is pulled, the device will strike down and set off a noise. The noise level will vary depending on which load you are using.
