Fit can feel intimidating — especially when you’re self-taught and don’t consider yourself a “fit expert.” In this Fit With Me video, I’m walking you through how I approached fitting a pair of handmade sweatpants and the real-life adjustments I made along the way.

This isn’t a technical fitting tutorial or a list of “perfect” rules. Instead, I’m sharing:
What I noticed about the fit as I measured the pattern
Where things felt off for my body
The simple pattern adjustments I made
How I decided what was worth fixing — and what wasn’t

I’m using the free Dash Sweatpants pattern from Petite Stitchery for this video, but the mindset and observations apply to any knit pants or casual bottoms, whether you’re sewing along with the Sew Together Challenge or working on something totally different.
