FIFA World Cup 2018 Stadiums Today- Sochi. Fisht Stadium is located in the Olympic Park in the Imeretin Valley Fisht Stadium in Sochi, was built for the Winter Olympics in February 2014, and hosted the opening and closing ceremonies. The stadium was reconstructed for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and reopened in 2017, the venue for the match of the FIFA Confederations Cup.

Fisht Fisht Mountain originally named Stadium, peak in the Caucasus Mountains. In the local language, the Adygeyan, "fisht " means "white head ". The silhouette of the arena, designed by the architects of the United Kingdom, resembles a snow-covered mountain peaks.

Under current plans, Russia national team will hold training camp and play some competitive and friendly matches in Sochi. Fisht Stadium will also host a wide variety of other mass participation event. Located nearby is the Formula 1 circuit in Sochi.
