Fate is a 2005 action RPG by WildTangent Games. The fishing in this game is actually more of a core aspect than just a typical fishing Mini-Game. You get fish that can transform your dog into powerful creatures, and there's also a chance to get some of the most valuable items in the game.
One catch can give you a fortune, enough to buy and enchant whatever you want. I myself managed to snag a cheesehead that gives you a great chance at enemies dropping magical gear and much more money, in return for giving up most of your health. I caught many cool items like this throughout my Fate playthrough.
