Went up to Big Bear Lake to fish with my friend Justine who was visiting from Arizona. We fished the entire day using Spoons, spinners and baits, power, live worms, for trout and a dough I mix for carp. The bite was below average and we didn't see anyone else pull in a single fish. We got a few and enjoyed them for dinner. I spent the night but had to leave the mountain at 4am to make an interview I had the next morning. On the way down, two deer jumped out in the road and almost got taken out with my truck. The lake is clean and beautiful, the wind does come up and make ultra lite fishing rough but hang in there and it pays off. The campgrounds are some of the best I have seen, maintenance wise. The one we stayed in had cleaner bathrooms than some peoples houses and free showers. The town up top has a little of everything, including a kick ass Chinese restaurant. It's a nice place to take the family for a weekend
