Ah yes Lent, the solemn observance in the liturgical year of many Christian denominations. The traditional purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer—through prayer, penance, repentance, almsgiving, and self-denial. There is also that whole not eating meat thing on Fridays.
It seems as though every restaurant in the country adds some sort of fish item to their menu and this year is no different. What makes me chuckle is when they advertise these items "for a limited time only" instead of just saying "We know you can't eat meat on Fridays and we know you really don't feel like cooking" or "Hey Catholics, we haven't forgot about you!". Anyway, todays challenge is all about fish...at least we think its fish....it could be horse meat, but thats another story. McDonald's has introduced its Fish McBites "for a limited time only" and Jamie had to try one......or 120. So without further ado, here is Jamie "The Bear" McDonald and the McDonald's Fish McBites and Tartar Sauce Challenge.
