Active wildfire between Dubois and Moran, Wyoming: the Fish Creek Fire.
This fire began on August 16, 2024, about 7 miles southwest of Togwotee Pass and had spread to over 15,500 acres by early September. On September 2, heavy smoke and limited visibility led to the closure of US Highway 26/287 west of Dubois, especially in the Togwotee Pass area. The next day, the fire jumped the highway and caused several spot fires, prompting evacuations in nearby areas such as the Brooks Lake Lodge.
