In this video, I take you along for my first few groundwork sessions with my new horse! This was our first real opportunity to start building a connection on the ground—focusing on trust, communication, and understanding each other. We worked through some lunging, boundaries, and simply learning how to exist together… and yes, he definitely got a little excited along the way. These early moments are so important. Before anything else, it’s about creating a foundation where the horse feels safe, heard, and understood. There’s something really special about these beginning stages when everything is new, honest, and full of possibility. I’m so excited to share this journey with you.
