For a little while now I have been wanting to see if Contrast paints would be better or worse for a beginner painter. From the outside they would seem like a perfect candidate for beginners as they are supposed to be used mostly right out of the pot, they go onto the model straight over a white primer (gw white or grey, either way). I wanted to have my wife Ali do this as a test but as luck would have it my nephews stayed with us for 3 weeks during the Summer. So I got them to sit still for just long enough to knock out 3 minis using nothing but Contrast paints from Games Workshop, the results, are interesting...
