"First steps" - Luis Ramirez (1992, myself)
The European premiere of my piece, written in 2014.
Premiered at the Casalmaggiore Festival, in Casalmaggiore, Italy.

Some words from the composer:
"We are always instructed to play the piano with our fingertips, but we never give the other side of our hands a chance! This piece tries to evoke the tenderness, fragility and ingenuousness of the nails' first approach to the piano, resulting in poignant music with a rather delicate character. To me, the musical result is surprisingly accurate to the concept itself of the nails playing piano for the first time, resembling a newborn learning to walk.
For pianists who not only want to play with their fingers, but also want to give their nails a chance!"
