I was pretty excited to see the first real print going for 17 hours, but two things went wrong.
First off, with just minutes to go, the printer announced "SD Init Fail" or something like that, and the print terminated. So, it did not actually complete.
But more upsetting is that the print varied dramatically in the Y (vertical, in this case) dimension (18 mm vs 15.5 mm at the narrowest), probably because the belt is not entirely flat. I imagine that the belt pushed the print up at some point, making the actual print thinner. So, the printer, at the moment, is unable to do what I purchased it to do. Perhaps I need a better/different belt, or perhaps I need to design and install skids to press the belt down along side the print as it is made.
