What began as a routine Scud-hunting escort mission quickly escalated when Iraqi fighters launched against a U.S. Navy strike package. Tollini and his wingman, “Cherry Pitts, intercepted the threat, engaging two Foxbats in a high-speed, low-altitude dogfight.
