In this week’s #fridaysews I have managed to finish my first MakeNine 2024 sewing project. After a couple of days working on my tax return it took me a while to get my sewjo back. I decided I wanted to make Vogue 1336, a block patterned dress in knit fabrics. The pattern was already in my stash along with fabrics, so I’m feeling a little smug that I’m at least sticking to a challenge I set myself to start using fabric and patterns from my stash.
The dress is finished and I’m happy. It’s very comfortable. I would definitely make this again. Now I have the size right for me it will be easy to run a few of these dresses off.
I also finished a pair of socks for my daughter Rachel. She loved me, which makes me happy!
I’m a little all over the place this week. I have nothing planned. Lots of ideas swimming around in my head. Hopefully there will be a burst of creativity coming soon. Fingers crossed.
